Catalog description

Provides an in-depth study of the concepts, policies, practices and research in crisis intervention during disasters. This course will provide an introduction to the disaster field, a detailed examination of the human service delivery systems and guidelines for attending to the emotional and mental-health needs of both disaster survivors and responders, using the Critical Incident Stress Management model.
