Catalog description
Use of scientific programming languages for analysis and display of data. Topics include: data types; syntax and control statement; use of plotting and graphics libraries; reading and writing data sets in ASCII, binary, NetCDF, and other formats; spectral analysis; statistical operations; matrix operations. 2 hrs. lec., 2 hrs. lab. Offered in spring. Prereq: ESSC 282 or CMSC 161; MATH 211 and PHYS 231.
