EDW 545 is an online, distance learning workshop designed to provide Physical Education teachers, Health instructors, Special Education teachers, and school nurses an in depth view of the limitations and recommendations of wellness-related issues for those children with special needs. By completing this workshop, participants will better understand the pathology of different types of disabilities found in children. <BR> In addition, participants will be able to explain how exercise and/or nutrition may hinder or enhance the well being of these children. The class sessions, or modules, will be conducted using online courseware (Blackboard). The format of class modules will include a mix of online lectures and discussion as well as the creation of teaching and/or research projects.
