Track and Field Coaching

Catalog description

This workshop will be a comprehensive course in the coaching of track and field. Included will be the techniques and training of the individual events, scheduling of practice and organization of meets and officiating. Each event in track and field will be discussed through lecture, videotape, demonstration, hands-on skill development and question and answer sessions. All students will be involved in each area by his or her own participation with the covered skills. Recommended for educators in the health and physical education fields, and educators coaching track and field student-athletes.
