Nonfiction Lit and Literacy

Catalog description

This course offers an in-depth look at nonfiction literature written for children and young adolescents. The communication of ideas through visuals and print in books and biographies will be highlighted. Topics include evaluation and selection of books, models for student writing, visual literacy and student response to nonfiction. Prereq: Survey course in childrens literature or permission of instructor. Offered periodically.
