Catalog description

A study of principles, methods and applications of chemistry in nanotechnology, with a special emphasis on the chemistry of materials. Topics include synthesis, characterization and manipulation of nanomaterials, sensors, bioinspired nanomaterials, atomic force and scanning electron microscopy. 2 hrs. lec., 3 hrs. lab. Offered in spring. Prereq: NANO 313 and CHEM 104 or 111; or CHEM 232; or CHEM 235; or permission of instructor.
