This course presents major theories of etiology and treatment of substance abuse and dependence. Addictions to different classes of substances, intoxication and withdrawal effects, and methods of assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and relapse prevention will be discussed. Prerequisites PSYCG 1573 Psychopathology: Adult Disorders II
