Catalog description
This course examines core marriage and family therapy treatment models and systems theories while considering the biopsychosocial perspective. Using core readings, empirical studies, case studies, videos, and therapy demonstrations, the course examines fundamental techniques of both therapy and diagnostic evaluation from various family systems perspectives. This course will also explore ways to apply marriage and family models to diverse groups and cultures. Prerequisites PSYCG 1530 Introduction to Psychotherapy
