Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience - Hospital/Health-System

Catalog description

This practice experience will enable students to develop their skills and gain experience in a hospital or health system setting. Emphasis is placed on systems to promote safe and effective medication use to optimize patient outcomes. In addition to medication order processing, preparation, and distribution, students will focus on drug-use decision-making processes, individual patient drug therapy monitoring, formulary management, and communication with patients and other healthcare professionals. Prerequisites Completion of all required didactic coursework, including 8 hours of electives; Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences.
