Catalog description

This practice experience will enable students to develop their skills and gain experience in a variety of patient-oriented services in community practice. In addition to medication dispensing, students will focus on drug therapy assessment and intervention, identification, resolution, and prevention of drug related problems, education, and communication with patients and other healthcare professionals. Students may participate in additional services such as extemporaneous compounding, administration of immunizations, health screenings, and medication therapy and disease state management. Prerequisites Completion of all required didactic coursework, including 8 hours of electives; Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences.
