Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience - Ambulatory Care

Catalog description

This practice experience will enable students to develop their skills and gain experience related to ambulatory care practice. Emphasis will be placed on participating in an interprofessional healthcare team, and sharing responsibility with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal drug therapy outcomes. In addition, students will participate in drug therapy assessment and intervention, identify drug related problems, develop therapeutic care plans, and effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals. Prerequisites Completion of all required didactic coursework, including 8 hours of electives; Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences.
