Catalog description
This course is designed to enhance students’ knowledge and skills related to geriatric pharmacotherapy. The course provides an introduction to general principles of aging, roles of pharmacists in working with geriatric patients, and an overview of geriatric syndromes. The format of the course involves brief lectures, and students will be expected to actively participate in discussions and case-based assignments. There is an emphasis on managing the healthcare needs of patients with multiple comorbidities. Prerequisites Completion or concurrent enrollment in PHIDG 1607 Integrated Sequence 7
