Catalog description

This course reviews the common non-strabismus diagnoses of accommodation, binocular vision, and oculomotor systems. Specialized testing techniques will be presented as they relate to these diagnoses including tests of accommodative function, heterophoria, fixation disparity, associated phoria, graphical analysis, and various measures of eye movement skills. Appropriate therapies for these diagnoses with a heavy emphasis on vision therapy techniques will be outlined. Applying these skills further to patients who have suffered an acquired/traumatic brain injury (ABI/TBI) will be discussed. Prerequisites OPTOG 1624 Visual Science: Binocular Vision and OPTOG 1694 Pediatric Optometry
