Catalog description

basic knowledge of infectious agents and their impact on human diseases is provided so that students can recognize and understand individual etiological agents, virulence factors, relevant diseases, and the associated clinical signs and symptoms based on the organ system. Emphasis is placed on understanding the interaction between the host and pathogenic microorganisms including the impact of public health and epidemiology.
