Catalog description

This practicum is the second of three sequential clinical experiences. The objective of this course places an emphasis on patient education and interventions to improve clinical outcomes, evidence-based practice, comprehensive assessments, diagnostic rationales, and the incorporation of pharmacology. Principles taught in this course and the corequisite course will be utilized to provide the contextual framework for the skills considered. Prerequisites APRNG 603: Primary Health Care: Adult Gerontology I (practicum — 160 hours)
