Journalism/Writing Field Exper

Catalog description

A cooperative work experience through which students are employed in a professional writing or journalism position to gain the practical experience necessary for success in the field. Supervision of this departmentally approved position is provided by the College through the instructor's on-the-job visits and individual progress reviews. Students are required to describe their objectives and attain specific job skills. They attend a weekly one-hour seminar on campus and work a minimum of 180 hours during the semester.
