Criminal Justice I

Catalog description
Examines both the substantive and procedural criminal law with a special focus on the administration of justice. Particular attention will be given to the role of the police, courts and correctional systems and how each separate entity functions within the framework of Constitutional law. Special emphasis will be on New Jersey statutory law and court rules and corrections policy.
