Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce students to medical terminology related to human anatomy & physiology. Topics include the scientific method and the use of root words, prefixes and suffixes to form medical-related words. Terminology and system overviews will include the integumentary, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, blood, lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive, and special sense systems. There will also be a review of medical terms within special interest topics in the field of medicine.
