Catalog description

Required of Honors Buchanan Transfer Fellows. Introduces students from a variety of disciplines to the research methods necessary for successful completion of the honors thesis proposal, the honors thesis, and the resources available on campus to support the thesis project. Specific objectives include choosing a research topic, understanding the thesis process, identifying an appropriate faculty mentor, and drafting a tentative thesis topic. Assignments may include writing reports, assembling annotated bibliographies, and giving oral reports using appropriate technology. Course will be team-taught occasionally to expose students to multidisciplinary approaches to research.
