Catalog description

Knowledge of trigonometry recommended. An introduction to learning geoscience in the field with an emphasis on those aspects of rock formations relevant to environmental, hazard, natural resources, and energy applications. Topics include use of GPS, the Brunton Pocket transit, smartphone and tablet apps, and the Jacob’s staff. Students prepare a map and report.
