General Biology I

Catalog description

Corequisite: BIOL 1111 . Primarily for Biology majors and minors and other science-oriented students. Biological principles and processes, including introduction to the nature of science, cells (structure, function, metabolism, division), genetics, and evolution. Three hours lecture and one three-hour laboratory. While BIOL 1110 can be used to fulfill half the 8-hour True Blue Core requirement for Scientific Literacy, it is the first semester of a two-semester sequence primarily designed for science majors.
