Catalog description

This is an Institutional Priority course that develops key competencies in critical thinking and oral communication through an introduction to the social transformations of global culture. This course includes additional online modules to support Institutional Priority Learning Outcomes and Career Competencies. In addition, traditional classroom work will explore the topics of global population shifts, changing cultural identities, economic challenges resulting from these changes, and how these topics are depicted in various media. The course offers an opportunity for students to apply critical thinking skills to these global transformations and to gain experience in developing and presenting original arguments in oral forms.
