Catalog description

This course is designed to provide candidates with an understanding of research-based literacy development, assessment procedures, and intervention strategies aligned with the Science of Reading. Candidates will become proficient in selecting, developing, administering, and analyzing a variety of formative and summative assessments to inform instructional practices that increase all students' literacy achievement. This course includes administration of assessments and development of follow-up instructional activities based on assessment data, a field experience in a diverse setting, technology integration, and research. This course is aligned with state and national standards.
