This course will examine the role of pastoral care in its various forms and functions within the local church. The Biblical and historical nature of pastoral care as “soul care” will be explored, along with the role of a pastor in various care ministries and conflict resolution. Attention will also be given to the equipping of the laity for organized care ministry efforts within the church, as well as for outreach.
