Ministry Internship III – Compassionate Care

Catalog description

This course is a supervised field education course designed to cultivate compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and Christ-centered ministry leaders. It integrates hands-on ministry experience with intentional development in pastoral care, empathy, relational wisdom, and servant leadership. Through guided mentorship, reflective journaling, assigned readings, and regular faculty/supervisor interaction, students will examine the theological foundations of care, explore the dynamics of suffering and hope, and cultivate practices that sustain long-term emotional and spiritual health in ministry. Emphasis is placed on forming leaders whose character reflects the compassion of Christ and whose care is rooted in theological conviction and ethical responsibility.
