Students will demonstrate understanding of essential concepts in 20th century physics. Topics investigated include relativity, quantization, atomic models, quantum mechanics, atomic physics , statistical mechanics, and the current standard model of particle physics. 187 Students solve problems using mathematical methods including ordinary differential equations.
