This course will compare and contrast nonprofit and for-profit business structures, focusing on the knowledge, skills, and leadership necessary to manage nonprofit organizations effectively. The focus will be on the management of resources, strategic planning, and the economic challenges facing nonprofits. MGMT 4911-3 Management Internship I (1-3 cr.) This course is designed to provide paraprofessional experience in the field of finance. The internship is a supervised work experience with an organization approved by the academic advisor. Written reports regarding the experience and employer evaluation are required. Credits vary, with 40 hours worked equating to one credit hour. MGMT 4921-3 Management Internship II (1-3 cr.) This course is designed to provide paraprofessional experience in the field of finance. The internship is a supervised work experience with an organization approved by the academic advisor. Written reports regarding the experience and employer evaluation are required. Credits vary, with 40 hours worked equating to one credit hour. Prerequisite: Junior Standing with at least 30 credits in business-related courses.
