Catalog description

Working in teams, students will explore and apply the fundamentals of the engineering design process to solve a practical engineering problem using the skills and knowledge that they have developed over the first two and a half years of the engineering program. Students will identify a problem and develop several candidate designs; then refine the candidate designs identified; and choose one design to work on to complete as their capstone project. A detailed project proposal will be due at the end of the course. This course meets for three hours each week in the classroom and for at least one hour each week in the lab.
