Catalog description

This course focuses on a systematic analysis of the components of effective writing, including critical thinking skills, idea generating, essay pre-planning, drafting, and revising writing projects. Additionally, students would write critical responses to assigned readings. Open to students with an ACT English score of 22 or higher. The course would fulfill the ENGL 1113 requirements. Credit may be earned for only one of the courses, ENGL 1113 or ENGL 1403. Offered on demand. ENGL 2103 British Literatures Survey I ( 3 cr .) This course studies English literature from the Old English period to the restoration and 18th century, emphasizing literary analysis, literary theory, and the relationship between literature and cultural milieus.
