Catalog description

Limnology is a course designed for biology majors. It focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of freshwater aquatic systems. Topics include chemical and physical characteristics of lakes, streams, groundwater, and wetland ecosystems. The laboratory is required and integral in introducing students to water sampling methods, aquatic organisms, and threats to freshwater ecosystems.
