This course offers a systematic study of the cellular and molecular mechanisms of human disease, tailored for students preparing for medical school or health-professions graduate programs. It includes analyses of processes that disrupt homeostasis, focusing on the fundamental "building blocks" of disease—cellular adaptation, injury, inflammation, apoptosis, necrosis, and neoplasia. Pathophysiology of the hematologic, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems are included.
