102 Prior Learning Assessment Portfolio (.5; maximum 5) UNV 102 helps students build a portfolio to potentially earn academic credit based on prior learning experiences. Working with Miami’s PLA Coordinator, students match their experiences to course learning outcomes, compiling evidence in a structured portfolio. The portfolio is rigorously reviewed by faculty (up to 60 days), and if successful, credit is awarded by the Registrar’s Office. Note: Not all courses are eligible for PLA credit, and completing a portfolio does not guarantee credit. Prerequisite: Approval of PLA Coordinator.
