Catalog description

This second course for 7-12th grade math and science education methods is designed to provide students with opportunities to explore inquiry-based teaching, alternative assessments, equity in math and science courses, interactive resources for the secondary math and science classrooms, and develop a thorough unit plan as a culminating experience. A field experience is built into the course where students will be teaching in a 7-12th grade classroom.75 or higher. Prerequisite: TCE 484/TCE 584 /584 with a grade of B or higher; TCE 191 and EDP 201 and EDL 204 with a grade of B or higher in each course; complete 62 graded credit hours or more; earn a cumulative GPA of 2. Co-requisite: TCE 421 and TCE 454/TCE 554 .
