This course will explore the developmental and instructional implications related to fluent reading, vocabulary acquisition, comprehension, and writing instruction. Principles of explicit and systematic instruction of these core areas will be studied. Learners will also examine how to embed these core reading skills across the curriculum, using culturally responsive methods and materials.
