Catalog description

This course focuses on strategies for building positive learning environments for students and teachers that support student cooperation, engagement, and achievement. Teacher candidates study and apply techniques intended to foster mutual respect and community-building in the classroom with emphasis on the first days of school and classroom technologies. Prerequisites: Admission to and retention in the language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language cohorts (part of the adolescent methods block).
