Catalog description

Spanish American literature since the formation of the national states. Topics vary covering issues and authors from the nineteenth-century to the present. The readings may prioritize a specific literary genre (narrative, poetry, theatre) or favor a diverse generic approach to a topic. Blending textual and contextual readings and analysis, this course will delve into foundational socio-historical discourses under literary expressions. CAS-B-LIT. Prerequisite: Three SPN 300 level courses.
