Catalog description
Exploration of Spanish America and its historical events surrounding the struggles for independence, the enduring legacy of colonialism, and the development of diasporic communities. Students examine the quest for democracy, identity, and social justice as processes responding not just to local and national issues but also to global changes and transnational flows. Specific literary readings and films will vary. PA-4C. CAS-B-LIT. Prerequisite: SPN 315 .
