Catalog description

This course examines global healthcare systems with a focus on comparative analysis between the U.S. and Latin America. Key topics include universal healthcare, societal perspectives on preventative medicine, the healthcare needs of Latino immigrants, as well as medical terminology and an in-depth study of human body systems. Offered exclusively as part of the study abroad program, this course is designed for students aspiring to careers in healthcare. SI-05. EL. Prerequisite: SPN 202 or SPN 203 , or placement into 311 or above.
