Survey of the integration of scientific and theoretical knowledge about the normal acquisition of language from birth to adulthood. Introduction to the linguistic aspects of cultural, political, and environmental impacts on acquisition of language, relationship between English and coexistent languages, gender-related differences in conversational interactions, and the complex interaction of culture and language development.
