Applied Social Psychology

Catalog description

This course explores how social psychological principles and research can be applied to understand and address real-world issues. Topics include health, work, education, and community settings, with an emphasis on using scientific methods to develop interventions and improve outcomes. Students will engage in projects and case studies that demonstrate the practical applications of social psychology. They will learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of social psychological interventions and strategies designed to promote positive behavior change, social justice, and well-being within diverse populations. Prerequisites: PSS 218 or PSS 302 or PSY 293 .
