Catalog description
A didactic clinical medicine module course designed to help the student develop the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the impact of the endocrine system on the human body. This course will explore the role of neuroendocrine function throughout all age ranges, beginning with fetal development. Discussions will include the role of genetic and social behaviors on the development and expressions of disease, common symptoms and physical examination findings, appropriate investigation/diagnostics, treatments across patient presentations, and prognosis of various disease states. Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Physician Associate Program. Co-requisites: PAS 604 , PAS 614 , PAS 624 , PAS 625 , PAS 626 .
