Catalog description
A didactic clinical medicine module course designed to help the student develop the necessary skills and knowledge to recognize, evaluate and treat ocular, otolaryngologic and maxillofacial disease. This course will explore healthy embryologic development, anatomy, physiology and functions the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth and throat. Discussions will include the role of genetic and social behaviors on the development and expressions of disease, common symptoms and physical examination findings, appropriate investigation/diagnostics, treatments, and the role of prevention on disease development and progression. Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Physician Associate Program. Co-requisites: PAS 604 , PAS 614 , PAS 624 , PAS 626 , PAS 627 .
