Catalog description

The opera workshop is a select ensemble/class for moderate to advanced singers. Topics include the musical, linguistic, and dramatic preparation and performance of roles and scenes from the operatic, operetta, and musical theater repertory. In addition, the student will learn about the history and literature of opera, as well as the opera industry (auditioning, young artist programs, etc.). There will be assignments related directly to your role as well as additional assignments. Prerequisite: Audition Required.
