Secondary Music Methods and Literature

Catalog description

The teaching of secondary music, including bands, choirs, and orchestras. Includes fundamentals and pedagogy strategies for teaching intermediate and advanced programs. Includes literature selection, rehearsal techniques, organization and management of running a program, assessing student perception and performance, classroom management, and clinical experience. Prerequisite: Completion of all music education degree work through the first five semesters, or permission of the instructor.
