Catalog description

This class emphasizes the technical and conceptual skills involved in producing electronic music. Topics include advanced use of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), looping and sampling, MIDI recording and editing, software instruments, and additional techniques such as mixing and mastering. A broad range of styles will be explored. Students enrolled in the class will have access to the Miami University Electronic Music Studios. It is recommended, though not required, that students have completed MUS221 or have prior experience with Digital Audio Workstation software. Please contact the instructor with any questions.
