Contemporary Musicianship I

Catalog description

An introductory course for students who are not yet familiar with the symbols and language of contemporary music literacy, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and basic aural and keyboard skills. Students will learn how to read and write music through instruction, regular assignments, group and individual ear training exercises, and the practice of playing basic melodic and harmonic progressions on the keyboard.
