Catalog description

At the instructor's discretion, one of the following areas is covered. (1) Economic/Traditional Game Theory: Mixed-strategy equilibria, two-person games with applications, and N-person cooperative games with side payments. (2) Combinatorial Game Theory: The game of Nim and how all impartial two-player combinatorial games are Nim-like, Partisan games, and possibly solitaire games. Prerequisite: MTH 222 or 231 or 331 ; or permission of instructor.
