MTH 407/MTH 507 is open only to middle childhood education majors; MTH507 is open only to preK-9 teachers. Study of the structure of mathematical systems, especially number systems, developed through student-centered inquiry: pattern recognition, generalizing conjecturing, and proof. SC. Prerequisite: MTH 151 , MTH 217 , and MTH 218 , or permission of instructor.
