Catalog description

This course provides knowledge and background about the definition of tribological systems. Critical aspects of the course include contact mechanics, surface roughness, surface characterization, lubrication regimes, wear mechanisms, tribotesting, and simulation methods. Prerequisite: MME 312 , MME 313 or Graduate standing and permission of instructor.
