/MME 512. Advanced Mechanics of Materials

Catalog description

This course is the advanced study of mechanical behavior of structures. Analysis, design and computational techniques for curved beams, spinning disks, thick-walled cylinders, asymmetric beams, torsion, and buckling will be introduced with the foundations for energy and Finite element methods. Prerequisites: MME 223 and 312 ; MTH 245 or MTH 347 or MTH 246 . Prerequisite or Co-requisite: MME 411 .
